Here’s a roundup of some of our favourite new tracks released this week:
A long awaited and previously unreleased track from pop superstar Chappell Roan, “The Subway” is an upbeat heartbreak ballad about missing an ex-lover. Roan dreams of her ex on the subway, reminiscing their relationship and urging her brain and heart to heal, until her ex is just “another girl on the subway”.
Rema is one of the many pioneers of afrorave, and “KELEBU” is the afrorave song of your dreams. A ridiculously catchy beat to get you on your feet in seconds. A standout from the new releases this week.
Yves Tumor and NINA team up for “WE DONT COUNT”, a rock collaboration we couldn’t have dreamed of. Think of 2000s indie sleaze, combined with some early 2000s rock. Lovely stuff.
From Reneé Rapp’s 2025 album “BITE ME”, “Shy” is a 2000s inspired pop track about falling in love with her girlfriend Towa Bird. It documents Rapp’s feelings of vulnerability and fear, as well as being excited about being able to fall in love again after a toxic relationship.
No lyrics, but all vibes. The Dare’s “Tambourine” is a techno-dance track that will get you up and dancing. You’re welcome.
